The Oklahoma State University Phi Beta Delta chapter, Epsilon Upsilon, won the award for most outstanding chapter in the United States at the international honors society’s national conference in Houston.
The 2014 political campaign season will have a prominent presence on the Oklahoma State University campus thanks to the OSU Debate Series: Decision 2014. The series kicks off with a U.S. Senate Republican Primary debate on Thursday, May 1 from 8-9 p.m. inside the “Little” Theater at the OSU Student Union.
The debate is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7 p.m.
The Oklahoma State University Seretean Trombone Quartet won first place at the finals of the 2014 Courtois Trombone Quartet Competition at the Fort Worth Trombone Summit on April 5.

Dr. Allen Apblett, professor of chemistry at Oklahoma State University, is the recipient of the 2014 Oklahoma Chemist Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions in chemical research, education, leadership, and entrepreneurship in the state of Oklahoma. He accepted the award on Saturday at the 59th Pentasectional Meeting of the American Chemical Society held at the Wes Watkins Center in Stillwater.
Up to $13,000 possible for local schools through ticket sales
The Department of Theatre at Oklahoma State University will donate a portion of its ticket sales from the blockbuster musical “Man of La Mancha,” April 23-27, to Stillwater Public Schools to help offset some of the impact of an expected $1.8 million school budget shortfall.
Plans to use Unmanned Aerial Systems Industry to illustrate
Dr. Stephen McKeever will present "Economic Growth Based on Science and Technology: An Illustration using the Unmanned Aerial Systems Industry in Oklahoma," at 7 p.m. Friday April 11, in Physical Sciences, room 103 at Oklahoma State University. The lecture is free and open to the public. Prior to the lecture, a reception with coffee and pastries will be held in Physical Sciences 117 starting at 6:30 p.m.
