With all the excitement surrounding a commencement ceremony, most Oklahoma State University graduates might take for granted the customary walk across the stage.

For zoology graduate Mary Beth Davis, the walk on May 10, 2014, was at the forefront of her mind. Davis is paralyzed from the waist down as a result of an auto accident, but with the help of an Ekso bionic suit, she was able to walk across the stage to receive her diploma.

Forty of Oklahoma State University’s top students were recognized as Wentz Scholars at the annual symposium held Friday, April 25, in the Edmon Low Library browsing room. Seventeen of the 40 Wentz Research Scholars represented disciplines in the College of Artsand Sciences.

Megan Reidy graduated from Oklahoma State University on Saturday with honors degrees in physiology and zoology, a degree in biochemistry, and a certificate in environmental studies. She led the student processional for the College of Artsand Sciences commencement ceremony as its 2014 Outstanding Student Representative.
