Megan Reidy graduated from Oklahoma State University on Saturday with honors degrees in physiology and zoology, a degree in biochemistry, and a certificate in environmental studies. She led the student processional for the College of Artsand Sciences commencement ceremony as its 2014 Outstanding Student Representative.
“I felt extremely honored and excited,” Reidy said of being chosen as this year’s CAS “Orange Gown” graduate. “But I also felt humble for being chosen out of many amazing students.”
Reidy has been accepted to the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in North Grafton, Mass.
Reidy wants to work with endangered animals and hopes she can someday work with Asian tigers, which is the species that inspired her to work with wildlife. Overall, she wants to make a difference to save any animals and biodiversity she can and is willing to go wherever she is needed.
