Lindsey Hancock, a physiology/pre-medical sciences junior, has been recognized for her leadership and health-related accomplishments with a prestigious Udall Scholarship.
The Oklahoma City native is a member of the Choctaw Nation and OSU’s 17th Udall Scholar. She is the fourth OSU student in the last four years to earn the award in the categories of native health care and tribal policy.
Boone Pickens School of Geology doctoral candidate Ibukun Bode-Omoleye visited several schools before settling on Oklahoma State University. She was even more excited to work with adviser Michael Grammer.

Jeanette Mendez has been a leader in Oklahoma State University’s College of Arts and Sciences since 2011, when she was named head of the Department of Political Science. She has also twice served as interim associate dean for research and facilities. Now she has been promoted to that position on a permanent basis.
Mendez officially became the first woman named an associate dean for CAS during the March 2 OSU/A&M Board of Regents meeting.

Iris Owens, a senior at Oklahoma State University, has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Germany for the 2018-2019 academic year. The prestigious program places recent college graduates in schools around the world to act as ambassadors for the United States, while improving foreign students’ English language abilities and teaching them about American culture.
Junior Sarah Oliver came to OSU knowing exactly what she wanted to do when she arrived in Stillwater. She jumped right into her biochemistry major and never looked back.
“I had some really great teachers in high school, and I got excited about it,” said Oliver, who was recently announced as one of 194 national finalists for the prestigious Truman Scholarship. “During my time here, I have been able to see how it applies to research.”
