A group of Oklahoma State University students enrolled in the Advanced Sports Public Relations capstone course recently enjoyed a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to a real world situation.  From March 26-29, the students filled various behind-the-scenes roles at the NCAA Women’s Basketball Regional Championship, held at Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City. 

Oklahoma State University student Maeghan Murie of Cleveland, Oklahoma, has been selected as a Udall scholar, making her the recipient of one of the nation’s most prestigious undergraduate awards.

The OSU Concert Chorale will present its concert season finale, dubbed “Eclipse,” at the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m.

Finalists in the 2014-2015 Oklahoma State University student mobile app developer’s competition demonstrated their projects to judges March 27 who presented winners in two categories with $12,000 in prize money. 

Dr. Joanne Jacobson, professor and chair of the department of English at Yeshiva University in New York, will speak at Oklahoma State University on "Double Vision: The Imaginary of the American Suburb,” Thursday, April 2, at 4 p.m. in Morrill Hall, Room 303.  Sponsored by the American Studies Program and the OSU Department of English, the talk is free and open to the public. 

An expert on the First Ladies of the United States, Dr. Katherine A. S. Sibley, will present “First Ladies: From Ceremony to Substance” on Monday, March 30, at 6 p.m. in room 108 of the Noble Research Center at Oklahoma State University. The free lecture is sponsored by the OSU Department of History. 

Oklahoma State University studio art senior, Ashley Farrier, received the Award of Merit at the Momentum OKC 2015 art event held March 6-7 at the Oklahoma City Farmer’s Public Market. The Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC) hosted the event.

For the second consecutive year, the Oklahoma State University Small Trumpet Ensemble is national champions, beating 63 other programs at the 2015 National Trumpet Competition.  OSU also placed third in the Large Trumpet Ensemble Division.
