About

The Oklahoma State University undergraduate Sports Media program is the largest stand-alone sports media major in the world with more than 215 annual majors and declared pre-majors. In this program, you will have a balance of theory and hands-on training in the classroom. All 10 faculty members in the OSU Sports Media program possess extensive practitioner experience in the sports communication industry and most focus their research on sports media, which also helps them keep up with trends and happenings in the field. Your learning is not confined to the classroom, as several of our student organizations allow you to gain practical experience though such activities as sports play-by-play announcing and working behind the scenes on live sports telecasts.

Courses to expect for this major include Sports and the Media, Sports Public Relations, Electronic Sports Reporting, and Sports Announcing.
