About

The Department of Theatre offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Administration. This program is designed for students who love art and want to pursue careers in communications, marketing, fundraising or programming in a fun, arts-related industry. What makes this degree program unique in the state is two new arts venues connected to the University: The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts and the OSU Museum of Art. Both have partnered with OSU to offer students real-world experience in state-of-the-art venues.

Courses to expect for this major include Fundraising in the Arts, Survey of Accounting, and Graphic Design.

The Finish in Four plans are designed to assist you in an eight semester plan guiding you to graduate within four years. You may use this as a guide to plan your undergraduate education, but you should adjust it to fit your personal goals.

BA - Art Administration 

Minor

Many Students choose to persue a minor in Theatre. You have opportunities to expand your theatre knowledge with courses such as Diverse American Drama and Play Analysis.

The Dance minor offers fundamental grounding in the theory and history of dance as well as various dance techniques. This program is designed to serve those with a background in dance and a desire to continue, as well as those wishing to expand their creative vocabulary. This is a perfect fit for students who desire to study dance not only as recreation, but as performing art.
