The Oklahoma State University Department of Art, Graphic Design, and Art History announces a new summer program aimed at junior high and high school students.
The new program, dubbed the Summer Art Academy, is a non-credit commuter program of summer classes for students aged 13-18. The flexible schedule of classes allows students to attend one- or two-week blocks under the guidance of master instructors, all of whom are full-time faculty members at OSU. The academy covers a wide variety of topics including watercolor painting, jewelry and metals, graphic design, 2D art, and an introduction to art history and museum studies.
Students may enroll in any combination of the classes and most materials are included in the registration fee. Classes meet during the day and students are asked to bring a sack lunch.
