Award-winning Alumna to Present Fiction Reading

In anticipation of her upcoming novel, award-winning author Constance Squires will return to her alma mater to present a fiction reading and book signing at the OSU Edmon Low Library on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.  

 

Squires’s first novel, “Along the Watchtower,” received the Oklahoma Book Award for Fiction in 2012.  Her next novel, “Live from Medicine Park” is due soon.  Her short stories and fiction have appeared in major magazines and newspapers across the U.S. and abroad.

Squires graduated with a doctorate in English from OSU in 2005 and is an associate professor of English at the University of Central Oklahoma. She served as scriptwriter for “Grave Misgivings” a short film coming soon from Sundance fellow Jeffrey Palmer. 

Squires lives with her husband and daughter in Edmond. 

Her fiction reading and book signing are part of the Arts and Sciences Arts and Humanities Speaker Series. The event is funded by the college and co-sponsored with the Department of English and the OSU Creative Writing Program.
