Caitlin Way, physiology graduate and Oklahoma State University track and field athlete, has been selected as one of two Big 12 finalists for the 2014 NCAA Woman of the Year award.

During her four years on the OSU indoor and outdoor track and field teams, Way competed in the weight throw and hammer throw events. She was twice named an All-Big 12 athlete for each event and was a four-time member of the Academic All-Big 12 First team.

Way graduated this spring with a 4.0 grade-point average. She was selected as a 2014 OSU Outstanding Senior, an honor given to seniors in the top 0.5 percentile, and as a Top Ten Senior for the OSU College of Arts & Sciences.

In addition to being a student-athlete, Way also has served as president of FCA, was a member of the Phi Kappa Honor Society, and has participated in many community service activities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Cowboy Jamboree, and the #14 Foundation.

The NCAA Woman of the Year recognizes senior student-athletes that have demonstrated academic and athletic excellence as well as service and leadership through their collegiate careers. The winner will be announced at a dinner in Indianapolis on Oct. 19.
