Please show your Support for Science locally by attending the 3rd Annual Life Science Freshman Research Scholars Research Symposium on April 22. The scholars will present posters describing the progress, results, and future directions of their year-long research. This year’s symposium will be held 12pm-3pm on the 3rd floor of the Noble Research Center. A light lunch will be provided.
During this symposium, attendees will have a further opportunity to show their Support for Science by signing and including personal notes in a letter to be sent to legislators. Attendees are also invited to create a statement about "What science means to me" on whiteboard provided at the symposium and have their images and messages added to the social media from this event.
The Life Science Freshman Research Scholars Program is part of a joint effort by faculty from the Departments of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Integrative Biology, Plant Biology, Ecology, and Evolution, and Microbiology and Molecular Genetics to increase undergraduate participation in research. It was established in 2014 with support provided by grant to Oklahoma State University from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute through the Science Education Program.
Please RSVP for the event by emailing osu-hhmi@okstate.edu.
