OSU Dept. of Psychology Organizes Informational Meeting for Shaken Stillwater Community

The Oklahoma State University Department of Psychology has organized an informational meeting for the Stillwater community to discuss common reactions and methods for coping with tragedy.  
 
Following any tragic event, members of the community often struggle with a range of emotions. The OSU Department of Psychology would like to provide assistance to the Stillwater community during this difficult time. 
 
OSU faculty, staff, students, and/or Stillwater community members are invited to an informational meeting on Monday, Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss common reactions to such a distressing event and coping with stress and negative emotions. They also will include tips for parents and teachers to help children with difficult questions and emotions. 
 
Resources will be provided, including when to contact your doctor or mental health professional for assistance. This open meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, located at the northeast corner of 6th Avenue and Duck Street.
