The OSU English Department’s Creative Writing Program will host visiting poet and collaborative artist Robin Becker for a poetry reading, book signing and gallery talk on October 14 and 15.
Robin Becker is a Liberal Arts Research Professor of English and Women’s Studies at the Pennsylvania State University and recipient of the Lambda Literary Award. She is the author of seven poetry collections, including Giacometti’s Dog, All-American Girl, and Tiger Heron. Becker has given poetry readings nationally and internationally, and is the recipient of fellowships from institutions such as: the Bunting Institute, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts. She served as Penn State’s Poet Laureate from 2010 to 2011. For the Women’s Review of Books, Becker edits poetry and writes a column on poetry called “Field Notes.”
Event is hosted by Poets for the Habitat and Friends as well as the Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History at OSU.
