Due to the threat of severe weather Saturday afternoon, May 9, Oklahoma State University has changed the times of its three undergraduate commencement ceremonies. In addition, all college receptions have been canceled because of the change.
The new times on Saturday:
8 a.m. -- College of Education, College of Arts & Sciences
11 a.m. -- College of Human Sciences, College of Engineering, Architecture & Technology
1:30 p.m. -- College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, Spears School of Business
With the change in schedule, graduates should check-in under the south side of Boone Pickens Stadium one hour before the start of their ceremony.
The Graduate College commencement ceremony, set for 7 p.m. tonight, will take place as scheduled.
All commencement ceremonies will be held at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
OSU Emergency Operations will be monitoring the weather and will communicate with officials at Gallagher-Iba Arena. In the event of a tornado warning, those in attendance will be directed by police and other event personnel to calmly move to areas of refuge throughout the arena.
OSU urges everyone that is planning to be on campus for commencement or other events to become familiar with the Severe Weather Refuge locations on campus. Information is available at safety.okstate.edu
