Shane O'Mealey joined the CAS Outreach office in 2012, and is responsible for all the international and domestic travel courses offered through the College of Arts and Sciences. He works with faculty to help develop course budgets and logistics, and is responsible for the promotion and enrollment for these courses and their students. Shane received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2003, and has been employed at OSU since 2005. He spent 7 years as a Financial Aid Counselor, working with students and their families and giving FAFSA workshops to high schools. Shane was invited to speak as a guest panelist at the OASFAA and SWASFAA conferences in Oklahoma City and Albuquerque, about the TEACH Grant program at OSU.
Shane served on the board of directors for Town & Gown Theatre, including a term as president from 2007-2009. He has performed in over 20 productions on stage, as well as directing and writing his own theatre play. Shane taught non-credit Acting Basics courses to the adult community, as well as classes to students from 2nd to 7th grade. He is also an active member of the Stillwater Chamber Singers. Shane lives in Stillwater with his two sons and his wife, who also received her degree from OSU.
