The Department of Philosophy moved into Murray Hall after the building’s renovation in 2011. The act of thinking is central to the academic discipline of philosophy, as this image shows through the addition of a giant statue of Socrates deep in thought. The legendary ancient philosopher is a welcome addition to the southern edge of campus, where the vast sky provides him plenty of room to think.
