Cox Wins BOA Short Fiction Prize

Dr. Dinah Cox, visiting assistant professor for the Oklahoma State University English department, has been awarded the fourth annual BOA Editions Short Fiction Prize for her collection Remarkable!

 More than 200 manuscripts were submitted for this literary prize. As part of the prize, Cox will receive a $1,000 honorarium and book publication by BOA Editions, Ltd. in spring 2016.

Cox’s stories have appeared or will be featured in the publications StoryQuarterly, Prairie Schooner, Salt Hill, Cream City Review, Copper Nickel, Beloit Fiction Journal, and Quarterly West among others. Her works have won prizes from The Atlantic Monthly and Hayden’s Ferry Review.

In addition to her assistant professorship, Cox is an associate editor of Cimarron Review, a national quarterly publication produced by the OSU English department.
