Desmond Mason was a standout in both studio art and basketball at OSU, leading the Cowboys to the Elite Eight in 2000. He was a first-round NBA draft pick who won the 2001 Slam Dunk Contest as a rookie. He continued to create art during his 10-year career in the NBA. Today he is a celebrated visual artist and sports radio personality.
