CAS continues to be the largest and most diverse college at OSU. And with more than 1,350 incoming freshmen this fall, CAS and OSU has their largest freshman class in school history. CAS serves the entire OSU student body through our core subjects and general education courses. About 48% of all student credit hours for the 2021-22 academic year were generated in the College of Arts and Sciences. 1,350+ With more than 80 student organizations in CAS, our students are able to find community, strengthen their college experience, turn interests into passions and positively impact the world around them. Each year, $4,500 one-year Wentz Research Grants are given to approximately 40 undergrads to conduct independent research.
