During the meeting, board members discussed the goals and directions for the School of Geology . Rising Star: Adley Stump Singer and songwriter Adley Stump is the 2013 Rising Star for the College of Arts and Sciences. Stump is also working with fellow Oklahomans and Nashville songwriters to bring more attention and support for the victims of the recent tornado. She has recorded a song, “Weather the Storm,” with all the proceeds going to the Red Cross to be used for Oklahoma tornado victims. Stump, who graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcasting, kicked off her singing career in front of a global television audience as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice . She recently finished an album and is on tour.
